Release 1.70 had a serious crash flaw and was replaced by 1.71.

To get the new update you will need to either download the new installer and reinstall, or change your xfire.ini to be version 70, which will then automatically update you to the new version of 1.71. Here are directions for both methods

For the new installer:
1) Click on the Download link at the top of any xfire webpage
2) Click the download now link
3) Install Xfire to the same location where you currently have it
4) Run Xfire and log in again

To re-update:

1) Close Xfire
2) Open your Xfire folder (default is c:\program files\xfire)
3) Double click the xfire.ini file to open it in notepad
4) find the line in the xfire.ini file that says Version=71 and change it to say Version=70
5) Save the file
6) Restart Xfire and login.

Xfire should then re-update to the NEW 1.71 version and you will again be able to join MoHAA and MoHAAS servers without crashing. For anyone who is upset about XIG being turned off, you can manually edit the xfire_games.ini and remove the semicolons in front of any of the commented out lines on MoHAA and MoHAAS, save the file, and re-detect games in Xfire to get the functiionality back, but we cannot at this point guarantee the stability of XIG/Stats tracking and MoHAA(s).

If you want to verify that you are running the 'new' version, go to the Help menu in Xfire, select 'about' and verify that the xfire_toucan build and Xfire_Games are both version 25104.
