one of the little thingys fell off and i tried to glue it back on..it worked for 3 seconds and made a loud noise, then went black. im wondering if the glue shorted it out.

do you think geek squad could fix it? i think it needs to be soldered..

i ordered a new one yesterday ghost told me to get so itll be a few days before im gaming.

yeah, i just suggested the absolute cheapest card he should get.....and it was the 320mb card for $300. Anything lower is no good, anything higher is definately better, but more expensive. So that is the reason I suggested the 8800 GTS 320mb. The whole cost/performance ratio starts to go down as you go up the graphics card food chain....an extra $100 bucks for another 320mb of mem??

The only thing that may be different on this new card is that it takes 2 power connections.....dont know how many your old one took. This is really a non-issue outside of the fact that if you dont already have 2 free power connections, you will need to get $1 splitter.

the old card had two power connects on it and i only used one. it seemed to work fine..would u suggest just getting a splitter?

you need two.........but before getting a splitter, check all the nooks and crannys of your case. you may have an extra one tucked neatly somewhere in your case. Something like this is what you would be looking for.
